Class of 2007

It's that time of year again!!!

FIVE years ago TODAY -

the famous Class of 2007 graduated from CIPLC

and it has never been the same.

Jake gets married tomorrow to a lucky lady. They're gonna be livin in New Orleans Louisiana and working for Chevron. Congrats to him.

LG is in H-TownDown workin for Saudi Aramco. Tearin it up and still makin the ladies go crazy.

Devin is .....    still in school. Not really an end in sight. But he loves it. And college loves him. So why not enjoy it? Lots of people go to college for eight years.

And then there's me. A year ago I felt like I was way behind everyone. But now I'm a few classes away from graduating and I got a hot wife with a baby in her belly and a sweet job. So I'm back on top. Until Jake gets his wife pregnant. Then I'll have to figure something else out. Like owning the Houston Astros or something.

Work BBQ

Thursday night we got to go to the top of the mountain in Lehi to my boss Mike's house for a BBQ with my co-workers. We had a blast. There was juicy steak and chicken with fresh fruit and delicious apple pie.

Then we got to go downstairs and were introduced to an extremely fun game called spaz. Essentially you try to hit the eight ball with the cue ball and knock it into a pocket before the next person can hit it.   -Funner than it sounds.     We had a great time.

But the best part was I finally got a good shot of Lacie from the side:

Mommas Day

Well, with it bein Mothers Day and all - I've found myself thinking of momma all day. And how grateful I am for her.

Once as a missionary I compared myself to one of the 2000 stripling warriors. On top of the fact that I'm incredibly ripped, strong, valiant, courageous, obedient, and brave - they were taught by their moms. My momma woke up at 6 a.m. every day my junior and senior year to teach my seminary class, which had a total enrollment of 1.

And let's be honest - I was a teenage boy, and it was 7 in the mornin. So seminary pretty much consisted of me layin my head on the table and her talking and trying to get me to say something. If it had been me teaching, I would have punched me after two mornings and given up. But for some reason she kept at it, day after day. So despite what she might tell you, she must have seen something in me.

Obviously I'm biased, but I would say her efforts paid off. I was a halfway decent missionary and now I'm almost a college graduate with a great job. And I got sealed to a gorgeous young lady and made a baby of my own. She did good.

Thanks momma.

Changes

Well, it's been a little while. There's been a lot goin on the past few weeks. Lot's of exciting things.

We moved into our new place and get all settled in. Moving is fun because you get to throw a lot of thing away, but it's also a little stressful because it seems like the list of things to take care of doesn't ever end. Once you fix one thing, something else pops up. Or once you think you've brought your last load to D.I. you find more things.   But, it's slowly all working out. We were lucky and had Lacies mom and sisters here to help out.

Andrew started his new job at Northwestern and that has been awesome. He's pretty dang excited about it. It's probably the perfect job for him.

We've also been making some preparations for baby to come. We set up her crib and got it all ready for her. Lacie even used her baby fund to buy these two pictures to go above it. We had agreed that we wanted a picture of Christ in our baby's room and had decided on the on you see on the left there. Lacie went to the BYU Bookstore Women's Conference sale and got both of them for the price that we were planning on paying for one. So that was exciting.

So life is movin forward and we're havin fun.
